Parent Council - We need you!!!
Are you interested in joining the parent council? We meet
twice a term to discuss issues regarding the school. It's
very informal and a good chance to have a chat about any
suggestions you might have to improve our school. For more
details contact Mrs Thornbury or Mrs Rutherford.

January meeting
Four children in Year 4 attended this years pupil voice
conference organised and ran by pupils at the high school.
The topics for discussion were:
1. What makes a good teacher?
2. How can a student support their own learning?
3. How should teachers make lessons an enjoyable experience?
Here are some of the things the children had to say...
"A good teacher enjoys fun and they are helpful. There is
less talking and more doing!"
"You can help yourself by reading at home, playing board
games and using the computer and internet."
"To make a lesson enjoyable there should be more team and
group work and more games."
