Weekly Newsletter 28.02.2022

28th February 2022

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back everyone. I hope you had a good half term.

A very special welcome to Mrs Kindred, who had a wonderful wedding day last week. I’m sure her class will make sure she soon gets used to her new name!

You will be aware that there have been some changes to Government guidance, and I want you to know how that will affect us in school. The guidance says:-

From 24 February the Government will:

  • Remove the legal requirement to self-isolate following a positive test. Adults and children who test positive will continue to be advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for at least 5 full days and then continue to follow the guidance until they have received 2 negative test results on consecutive days.
  • No longer ask fully vaccinated close contacts and those aged under 18 to test daily for 7 days, and remove the legal requirement for close contacts who are not fully vaccinated to self-isolate.

We will let you know if any of these symptoms present themselves whilst your child is at school.

We will not be changing any of our organisational measures in school just yet, until we are advised to do so by the Local Authority. We will of course, keep you informed on any new developments.

We currently have a member of staff who has tested positive this weekend, and is now self isolating at home. We wish her a very speedy recovery.

Take care everyone

Mrs Robertson
