Macmillan Coffee Morning
14th September 2022
It's a tradition at Tweedmouth West to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning each year, this is usually one of our biggest fundraising events that the Year 4 children organise and prepare for. Unfortunately, over the last few years we have been unable to host one due to the pandemic. However, we are going to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning for the Y4 children's families only on Thursday 29th September 2022, 9:30 - 10:30am. We can only have a small number of parents in the hall due to sticking within the safety guidelines in school. More to follow for the Y4 families.
However, we are going to hold a bingo event for the rest of the school (including Y4) so they can participate in the fundraising too!
Our bingo event will take place during the school day on Thursday 29th September. Mrs Robertson will join all the classes virtually and will be our bingo caller.
There will be a prize for the first child in each class who gets the first line, then a prize for the child who gets a full house in each class.
All children will participate, if you are able to give a donation (10p - £2.50) for this activity we would appreciate it.
In addition to the bingo we are also going to do our usual:
- Guess the name of the teddy bear
- Guess the teddy bears birthday
- How many sweets are in the jar
Your child can participate in all three for a small donation.
A slip of paper will come home with your child this week, if you want to enter please return the completed slip with your donation in a named envelope.
A photograph of all three prizes will go on the school website and facebook page by next week, a link to the pictures will be shared with you.
If you are able to donate a prize or if you work somewhere that would donate a small prize e.g. box of chocolate for the children to win this would be much appreciated.
The Y4 children will be organising this event so it would be helpful to make sure envelopes and entry slips are clear.
I would like to thank you for your support and hope we can raise as much as we can for Macmillan Cancer Support.
