5th February 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

What miserable weather we have had this week, and I think we are in for a wild weekend!

But, if there is one thing we are good at here in Berwick, it is coping with whatever is thrown at us. We certainly won’t let this rough weather stop us from being out and about.

This week, we are introducing a new song to the school. It has been written especially for children during lockdown, and I think you will agree the words really express how we are all feeling. You will find it on Seesaw today, and I am sure you will soon be humming the tune!

We very sadly lost Captain Sir Tom Moore this week. What a remarkable man, who led a remarkable life. A great inspiration to us all, that it is never too late to make a difference. I will let him speak for himself:-

“We will get through it in the end but it might take time, but at the end of the day we shall all be OK again… the sun will shine on you again and the clouds will go away”
(Capt. Sir Tom speaking about the coronavirus pandemic in April 2020.)

I would like to say a huge thankyou to all those who are supporting people in their own homes – sometimes the forgotten front line workers.

Take care everyone, and be kind to each other.

We are in this together.

Mrs Robertson
