Dear all,
Welcome back to Tweedmouth West Primary School! I just wanted to say thank you so much for bringing your lovely children to school so keen and ready for learning. I think they all look incredibly smart in their new uniform. Year 5 are doing a great job of being well behaved ambassadors to the younger children. Reception children have made an impressive start with loads of confidence and readiness for school. All children are settling well with new class teachers. As ever, keep in touch if you have any concerns or questions.
We have welcomed lots of new children and families and staff and are delighted with our new playground which you funded through your generosity.
As it is a fresh start I'm giving a quick reminder of the rules:
No earrings or studs please. With lots more climbing and adventurous play it is even more important that we have no jewellery. Children forget to take them out on PE days then they get lost etc etc. And there seems to be a competition about who can have the fanciest studs so we're making it simple - no earrings or studs. If children forget they will be given an envelope to put them in to take home.
Write the name in everything! You've all spent a lot of money, time and care on new uniforms and shoes and it's understandably frustrating when things go missing - if the name is in everything we can reunite them with your child in no time!
Hair tied back -Â with sensible accessories.
This helps good hair hygiene and is safer and tidier. Plain bobbles and bands please as they are much less distracting, less expensive and less of a problem if they're lost or broken.
We look forward to seeing you all at parent meetings, the coffee morning (Friday 26th Sept), and the harvest festivals.
With best wishes
