Teaching Strikes

Dear Parents/Carers,

You will be aware that the National Education Union (NEU), one of the trade unions representing the teaching profession, announced its intention to take industrial action.

(Not enough members of two other unions - the National Association of Schoolmasters/Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) and the National Association of Headteachers - voted in favour of taking industrial action.)

At the moment, I can tell you that I expect Tweedmouth West to be operating as usual on the first strike day (Wednesday February 1st .)

I will be in touch with you again at the beginning of next week to confirm this.
