Dear Parents / Carers,

We have made it to half term!

I am very pleased to report that our Covid cases in school have remained very low this week. Thanks once again to all parents for helping us to stop the spread of the virus by testing and remaining vigilant.

Unfortunately, Mrs Robertson has not been in school this week, she's resting at home as she recovers from shingles. From all of us here at Tweedmouth West, we wish Mrs Robertson a speedy recovery.

Despite Mrs Robertson's absence it has been very much business as usual in school thanks to the support of the amazing team here at Tweedmouth West.

Year 3 and 4 took part in their ‘being a botanist’ workshops and Year 4 completed their arts award with Chloe Smith from Berwick Film and Media.

It's been an exciting week for Miss Huntly as she prepares for her wedding day next week. She was given a good send off in school yesterday with a morning full of surprises. Firstly she was presented with a horseshoe keepsake and card from reception class, then with Colin & Connie caterpillar cakes at breaktime. In our virtual assembly she was given a matchbox wedding car with trailing message of luck from each year group, and her real car was given a wedding makeover with ribbons, flowers and cans which rattled as we waved her goodbye. We wish Miss Huntly all the best for her big day!

A huge Thank You to all our families who have donated to the Ryan Renton fundraiser today, we have raised a fantastic £461 which we will pay into his ‘go fund me page’. We wish Ryan and his family good luck as they continue their fundraising efforts.

We hope you all have a great half term.

Mrs Anderson
